Book Details:

-Translated from the original German by Robert Harrison.
-Published in London by Smith, Elder, & Co., in 1876.
-First English Edition.
-Original publisher's terra cotta cloth with boards blocked in black & gilt stamped spine lettering.
-Hardcover, with page edges untrimmed.
Condition Details:
-In fair to good condition. Volume Two is in better condition that Volume One.
-Volume One is split in the binding and on the spine as shown, also the very front page is detached (but present).
-Volume Two still has a tight binding, with it's worst flaw (in my opinion) being a small cut in the center of the binding.
-Very clean inside. No bookplate. One inscription in pencil on 1st endpaper in Volume One.
-No foxing or staining.
-Shelfwear/bumps to spines and corners.
Measures approximately 6.25" x 9" (15 cm x 23 cm), with a 500 & 489 numbered pages, respectively.
