This is a really fun piece! The teapot rests upon a vintage hot plate that has been made to no longer work. The pull chain for the inner light is at the spout, which causes the plastic 'gems' to glow when on.

The upper light has an on-off twist knob. The lower and upper sections are switched separately. This lamp comes with the lower light bulb for inside the teapot and without the upper light bulb. The shade snug fits down over the socket assembly.
