Carson/Dellosa is now an established learning resources content creator: according to their website Carson Dellosa Education was founded in 1977 by two teachers—Patti Carson and Janet Dellosa. Over forty years later, we remain committed to creating educational solutions for children, teachers, and parents—wherever they are needed. This is one of their first books. We found two copies of one sort of mentioned on the back cover, with a different title copyright 1977. We don't know if they changed the title before or after this particular book was published. 

The Learning Works book is about endangered species--a new concept then.
