Brand new factory sealed blu-ray & dvd combo comes in a transparent '3D blu-ray case'. The factory made a mistake or was out of the regular cases.

Taking a break from his infamous 'Blood Island' series, director/producer Eddie Romero crafted a much lighter than usual film. Despite a few mild splashes of gore and the fantastic subject matter, this is standard, family-friendly drive-in stuff with lots of quotable dialogue.

When island boatman "Manuel the Barracuda" sells him two exceedingly rare pearls, ambitious pimp East Eddie (Sid Haig) strikes up an uneasy partnership with divers Logan (John Ashley) and Mathias (Patrick Wayne, son of John) to locate more. Joined by aspiring scientist Dr. Katherine Vernon, the expedition soon encounters Syrene, a beautiful blond diver in an animal skin bikini (see cover), who can hold her breath for inhuman lengths of time.

She escorts the fortune hunters to her island, where she has been brought up as royalty. Home to a race of pearl-eyed fish people (see cover) lorded over by her father, Nereus. Syrene and Nereus (who lack the mutated features of their subjects) allow the group to harvest all the pearls they want to, without revealing the true reason for their hospitality.

Under pressure from his subjects, Nereus demands that his daughter mate with one of the outsiders and, when Mathias (misunderstanding what Syrene was trying to propose) rejects her, the expedition is soon without a boat and in grave danger. There is pit/trap filled with crabs, a pond full of piranha, and the goggle-eyed islanders.
