BOB VOGT - Wiggle The Wire (CD 2002)
CD / all artwork / jewel case, some scuffs on the disk.
CD discription:
It's original 70's style rock from an original 70's rocker. Bluesy
but not the blues, soulful but not soul, and the guitars are a blazing.
Few debut independent CD's have the benefit of the depth of musical and
technical expertise that I brought to 'Wiggle the Wire'. Three years in
the making, the CD was recorded at my own personal studio, The Bomb
Shelter, in Takoma Park, MD. I proved the old studio adage that "people
make records, not equipment", as I recorded the entire disc via computer
with 5 microphones, 3 mic pre's. 3 EQ's and one old Altec limiter. The
record was mixed at a professional studio (Bias Recording) on an old API
console by Bob Dawson. The project comes together as a long-playing
record album with two distinct sides, and somewhat defies musical
stereotyping. It would have been easier to do 10 songs in the same vein,
but not as much fun. As a guitarist I get to walk through all the
styles and it's still me.
