This is an authentic after market dryer filter sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in clothes dryers. The filter is part of the exhaust system used when drying laundry. Warm air circulates inside the dryer drum to dry the clothes. The air is vented outside through an exhaust vent. This filter inside catches lint and debris and prevents it from clogging the exhaust tubes. When the lint filter is clogged, the dryer will not work as efficiently, and it will take much longer to dry laundry. If the filter is missing, lint and debris will pass straight through to the exhaust tubes. Over time, this lint will clog the tubes and become a fire hazard. Lint filters should be cleaned after each load of laundry. Pull the lint filter out of its housing and remove the lint by pulling it off and wiping the screen with a damp cloth. Inspect the filter for holes in the screen. If there is any damage to the filter, replace it immediately. Using a damaged lint filter poses a safety concern as lint and debris can pass through rips in the filter screen.This dryer filter is sold as an individual part.
