A lovely feather decorated hand made spirit basket in the style of Ojibwa-Chippewa weaver Brenda Lee. The basket is so similar to Brenda Lee baskets, that it is likely this basket is by her as well. The basket is lined with a husk or thin bark with twigs and wooden branches as the body connected with various twig stitches. Beautiful feathers and fur on the handle and side. (large basket - 24”x19”)The center decorative tassel holds two short leather straps adorned with feathers and a bead. Just a beautiful statement piece. .
