First edition.  Oblong quarto.  Color and black & white full page plates.  34 illustrations on double leaf pages. Illustrated from paintings by the staff of the U.S. Eighth Army Engineers. Ribbon-tied red cloth with printed title. Front cover board slightly bowed, a bit of rubbing and staining on the boards.  

Very good. Illustrations show the building of Haneda's airstrip, handling of materials at Yokohama's North Docks, building of quonset huts. The last few plates show the Engineers work in the South Pacific and Mindanao.

36 pages on double leaves, bound in oblong Japanese paper covered boards with ties.

Measures approximately 15" x 10.75" x .0.5".
