Vintage Victorian Royal Vienna Style Fragonard Love Story Courting Couple Pierced 10" Oval Decorative Bowl
This is a beautiful bowl!
It is a striking shade of blue, and a reticulated pierced design.
It is decorated with a transfer print in the center, of a gentleman gazing lovingly at a lady, who is sitting beside him, offering him a bouquet of flowers. .
Inspired from the work of artist Jean Honore Fragonard (1732-1806). Fragonard was a French painter of the Rococo style who was popular in the latter half of the 18th Century, around the time of Marie Antoinette, Louis XV and Louis XVI.
Marked underside "ROYAL VIENNA" with a beehive. However, please note that this is believed to be a reproduction, rather than a genuine Royal Vienna piece.
It measures 10 inches in length, 7.5 inches in width, and 2 inches in height.
