Offered are two vintage Mexican dressed vintage tourist dolls made of celluloid with hand-painted faces. I believe these to be circa 1930s to 1940s*. The man is wearing all leather from hat to sandals. The woman’s dress is a brocade-like fabric. The outfit includes a slip and pantaloons. Her shoes are painted on. These pieces are being sold together, but did not originally come as a set. The man is in excellent vintage condition. The 6 piece leather outfit is permanently affixed, and does not allow for the limbs to move. The lady doll is in very good condition. Her dress is wrinkled and faded. Ribbon ties in back are open. Her hair is mussed and matted. All 4 joints move, but the head is stationary. Please see all photos for detail on condition of these dolls.

*Celluloid dolls were produced as late as the 1950s, but the vast majority were produced from 1900 through the 1940s.
