This listing is for a package of 50 Verbena seeds. AKA Verbena bonariensis. AKA South American Vervain.
Perennial zones 7-10. Full sun preferred.
These tall, lovely perennials are highly sought after by beneficial pollinators. These purple flower heads full of small clustered blooms can reach around 2" across. Long bloom period! Once established will bloom from July to frost.
Best when sown up to 10-12 weeks before your areas last frost date. They germinate best when temperatures fluctuate between 60°-85° (mimics mother natures natural late spring day and nights in most areas) Best way to achieve this is to place on heat mat during day and remove from mat over night. Germination is slower than other seed varieties. Approximately 14-28 days. The seed should be covered lightly and they do not like to be overly wet so keep moist but not wet.
Can be direct reseeded outdoors but only in areas with long growing seasons.
Plant height 36"-48" Spacing 8"-24"
