Easy to grow! These amazing tall spikes of vibrant color would make any cottage garden complete. Hollyhocks are biennials that will have foliage in the first year and blooms in the second year. Hardy in zones 6-8. Plants will return in other zones if allowed to reseed.
Sow seed directly after last frost for your region at about 1/8"-1/4" depth. Best results if seed is given a chilling period. Keep seed moist until germination. This process can be slow and may take up to 28 days so patience is required. Seed can also be sown in the fall for earliest spring emergence (much like allowing seed to drop and sprout the following year)
