First Class Service was branded "The President" after WWII because during the war Franklin Roosevelt had flown on Pan Am when traveling to Africa to meet Winston Churchill & Joseph Stalin. The 1960s President emblem is an eagle surrounded by 13 stars (3 above and 10 below) and was featured on plates, glasses, linen & menus. This pattern was in use from the early 1960's to the early 1970's. Each Measures approximately: 6" tall, 2 1/3" rim, 2 1/2" base.
