[Program of the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago]
included with
A small pinback "I Was There"
Chicago, IL: R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co., (1933).
Foxing to the lower portion of the title-page, else near fine copy; pages tight and clean.
A softback souvenir program of the 1933 World's Fair held in Chicago from May 1933 to October 1934. The fair was officially called A Century of Progress International Exposition and helped Chicago celebrate its centennial. The highlights were the progress of technology in the last century and the featuring of Art Deco style architecture, to hopefully counteract the effect from the stock market crash nearly four years before.
