The Fresh Food Door Gasket is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerators. It forms a tight seal around the interior of the fresh food door preventing cold air loss and keeping stored items fresh longer. This gasket seals off the entire fresh food compartment to maintain an optimal internal temperature. 

Causes of a bad fresh food door gasket can include cracks, compression or improper fit from regular opening and closing over time. Damage or wear and tear also contribute to compromised sealing.

Symptoms of a bad fresh food door gasket include: 

• Drips or frost build up around the inside perimeter of the door  
• Visible cold air leaks when closing the fresh food door
• Food spoiling more quickly due to temperature inconsistency inside
