Doesn't this bright wall print make you think of summer? Warm breezes, blue sky and sunshine by the seaside.

The first model of the cute and iconic Citroen 2CV was introduced at the 1948 Paris Mondial de l'Automobile car exhibition. It had an easy-to-maintain air-cooled engine mounted in the front, that drove the front wheels.

It started with a pull-cord, had a full width canvas sunroof that opened by rolling it back, and half-panel side windows that flip up. It only had one back stoplight, no fuel gauge, rusted at the sight of water. But, it was a rugged little workhorse that just kept going and going.

It became the subject of jokes around the world. However, at the Paris Motor Show, customers fell in love with this quirky car and Citroen was flooded with orders.

And James Bond drove a yellow one in, For Your Eyes Only.

Production stopped in 1990 but there are still many on the roads, thanks to the love and care of Citroen 2CV enthusiasts and collectors.
