This serving bowl would have been produced between 1898 - 1908. The backstamp is a red steeple with the letter S & T at the top, RS in the center, and GERMANY at the bottom. The red backstamp was used from 1898 - 1908. The steeple backstamp was used to represent the unity of the two Reinhold Schlegelmich factories in Suhl and Tillowitz.

The bowl has heavy gold gilt trim around the edges, and pink roses. Thin gold lines are used to highlight the floral design. Edges are scalloped with a few scrolls thrown it. It does have some dark inclusions under the glaze. It would have been hand painted. The bowl measures approximately 9 1/2 inches across, and 2 1/2 inches deep. There is some wear to the gold trim, and some age crazing as well. While I did see any noticeable chips it does have some sharper spots along the edges. It will still display nicely. When properly packaged for shipping (double boxed), it will ship at a 3 pound rate.
