The Captain's ship wheel design is an applique that has been embroidered on at the edges. There is a contrast edging all around this pillow, and the added rope accent makes this a very unique and outstanding pillow.

I found no labels, but the fabric appears to be a canvas material. 

I've also got a similar pillow in red showing a ship's anchor.
