For those of you who have been following the weekly "digs" of "THE CURSE OF OAK ISLAND" on the History Channel since 2014, I have news for you:  the authors Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child solved the entire puzzle (including finding the treasure!) in the novel RIPTIDE, which originally was published in 1998 -- 16 years before RICK LAGINA and his brother MARTY LAGINA ever turned over their first spade of Oak Island dirt.  Of course, Preston & Child tried to cover up the location of their discovery -- instead of "Oak Island," they referred to their location as "Ragged Island;" and, instead of the province of Nova Scotia in Canada, Preston & Child chose the state of Maine in the United States.  But the background stories were similar, as well as many of the theories.  So -- if RICK & MARTY LAGINA have currently whet your appetite for the REAL hunt for the OAK ISLAND TREASURE, tuck yourselves in for a good couple hours of exciting reading, with Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child and the hunt for the Ragged Island Treasure!
