This is a simple yet elegant enameled butterfly brooch. The enamel is applied to a metal backing, I don't know if it is copper or not, a magnet does not stick to it. The butterfly wings are in earthy shades of copper, gray, black and blue, with white dots and glittery gold accents. This is from the late 1970s to early 1980s.

It is in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs and has a beautiful luster to it. It measures approximately 2 inches across and 1 ¾ inches tall. It has a rollover safety clasp on the back

It would make a great addition to anyone's collection of Butterfly Jewelry. It would also make a wonderful gift for someone who is into the study of butterflies and moths; Lepidoptery or Lepidopterology.
