LASSE Tying his Shoe

This figurine features Little Lasse sitting and tying his Shoe. In 1939, the sculptor Edith Bjurstrom created a series of figurines of a little boy named ‘Lasse’. Since then, they have become some of the most collectible Scandinavian children figurines. Produced in pure white “Blanc de Chine” porcelain which emphasizes the sculptural quality of each figurine.

Approximately 4 inches tall (~10cm). Marked on the bottom with a paper sticker with the name Rorstrand, the country of origin SWEDEN, and three crown trademark for Rorstrand. The artist’s initials EB are incised into the bottom, along with the figurine number 114.
