Gators are raised on farms in Louisiana. The hides are sold for leather products, the meat is eaten locally or prepared as jerky, the guts go into the cat and dog food industry ("animal byproducts") and the heads and feet (freeze dried and coated in polyurethane) and t**th are sold to commercial stores. Gators have three sets of t**th, one inside the other (like Tupperware) that's why they're hollow; and are shed periodically.
