PICTURE OF THE WEEK: This nautical congregation inside the skeletal nave of St. Luke's Church in Liverpool. England. was assembled by Slovenian artist Matej Andraz Vogrincic. The church, eviscerated by bombs during the blitz of World War II, has mostly stood empty since, in honor of those who lost their lives in 1941. Until now, that is. The inverted rowboats, on display as part of the Liverpool Biennial art festival, pay a colorful tribute to the city's history as a port and act as a solemn reminder of its dead. PHOTOGRAPH BY PAUL ELLIS.
