AH Changeable is one of the most famous about all homemade devices. Developed in the late 50's, AH Changeable was designed to use commonly found materials that were readily available to consumers. Replaceable (also known as) it was designed to use a motorcycle engine producing approximately 50 hp. Various engines were used. Some people even used a snowmobile engine! Newer helicopters typically use ultra-light 2-stroke Rotax engines of approximately 52 horsepower.
