RAH! RAH! RAH!
Three cheers for Yogi, the All-American bear, who leaves his cozy cave in Jellystone Park and dons a freshman beanie for capers on the college campus. With his side-kick, Boo Boo, Yogi makes his mark in a curriculum of slap-happy situations that put him in a special class all by himself!
Yogi Bear cartoons centered on his antics in the fictional Jellystone Park. Yogi and his sidekick, Boo-Boo Bear, would often try to steal picnic baskets from campers in the park, much to the displeasure of Park Ranger Smith. Yogi's girlfriend, Cindy Bear, sometimes appeared and usually disapproved of Yogi's antics.
The famous Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera are the creators of Yogi Bear.
Surprisingly enough, neither of the two started out to be a cartoonist. Bill was a trained engineer, and Joe thought his career lay in finance. But, the creative spark burned brightly in both and finally brought them together.
Their combined talent created the famous Tom and Jerry series which merited seven Academy Awards. Since then, Bill and Joe have produced more delightful characters like Yogi, Huckleberry Hound, and The Flintstones to keep America laughing.
