Cedar has long represented the greatness of man. Resin, oil and cedar wood were highly valued. The slender trunks of the green giant were used for shipbuilding, the manufacture of anchors, and the construction of temples. The iconic buildings, made of extremely durable cedar wood, have been admired for several millennia. Legends were made about the mighty majestic tree, and its mighty fragrance matched the plant. Cedar oil has been used for medicinal purposes since ancient times. The earliest medical description in which it is mentioned is more than 5,000 years old. The essential oil of Siberian cedar is obtained from needles and paws by steam distillation.
