Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head, performed by B. J. Thomas, was written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David for the 1969 film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. The single was an international success; it reached No. 1 on charts in the US, Canada, Norway, Mexico, and Singapore. It also reached No. 1 on the US Adult Contemporary, Easy Listening, Hot 100, and the Cashbox Top 100 Charts. According to Billboard magazine, it sold over 2 million copies. The record, as well as the writer Bacharach, won an Oscar for Best Original Song.
