Retired Swarovski Silver Crystal Symbols Collection Rooster Cock Figurine 68549
This is a fabulous retired Swarovski Crystal Rooster #68549 figurine originally from the "Symbols" collection, and later moved to the "Crystal Home Accessories" collection. This is a large, heavy, impressive Art Deco style piece and comes in the original presentation box with Certificate of Authenticity. The exterior cardboard box is not included. This piece was designed by Adi Stocker, introduced in 2004 and retired in 2007.
This retired Swarovski crystal Rooster was, like all the Symbols range, originally listed under the Silver Crystal range called “Symbols”, later moving to the Crystal Home Accessories grouping under “Crystal Classics” theme. The Rooster was introduced with a symbolic link to the simultaneously launched Symbols Horse.
Adi Socker is probably the most well known of all Swarovski designers, arriving at Swarovski in 1988. He finished the first Annual Edition trilogy and then designed the two major Limited Edition pieces for Swarovski - the Eagle and the Peacock. He also designed the AE Lion, AE Pegasus and the AE Pierrot. He designed the Dumbos for 1987 and 1988, the Airplane, the Elephant, the Silver Heron, numerous African animals, the Solaris Clock, and some Selection pieces. Second only to Max Schreck, in the number of Swarovski crystal designs created, Adi's designs number well over 50.
