I am not a backgammon player but I thought this was very nice! It seems to be made up of leather and wool. I can be wrong, but this is what it feels like. There are a few imperfections. The outer case here and there has some very light brownish discoloring from age. Also, the latch on one of the two latches to secure the game in closed mode, is partially missing. It still securely closes for safe travels, but you can see it is not there on one of them. Not too big of a deal. You get the book about backgammon as well as the manual and everything shown. There are 16 white pieces and 16 Red pieces.
