"Any old place is home"

Real Photo Post Card
A. J. Kingsbury, Antigo; Wisconsin

Original RPPC of a native American woman with an embroidered dress standing next to a smoking camp fire and a collection of baskets and other items. The text on the postcard reads "x105. 'Any old place is home'  Copyright 1908 by A. J. Kingsbury,  Antigo, Wis". The photographer, Kingsbury, was based in Antigo, Wisconsin, and was known for Images of Ojibwe and Menominee Indians in northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The originals are hard to find as they are typically purchased by universities, libraries, and historical societies.

Divided back post card (these were produced starting around 1907) and postally used (postmark hard to read but likely 1910).

Please see the other antique RPPCs (many of Native Americans) I have listed in my store, Maxitivity.
