They even collaborated with the famous cufflink maker SWANK on their Arts of the World jewelry collection. The pin/brooch for sale is a typical square and measures appx 1 3/8” x 1 3/8”. Weighs 18 grams. It has a spectacular eye-catching raised pink/rose and white open floral representation. It is intertwined with delicate leaves in lime green accented by super fine Gold veins. It is hand painted and has a dimensional quality rising from an apparent black velvet background . Truly a miniature work of art that the Japanese are known for. The backing/mounting is either silver or high grade Chromium plating. It has no pitting or tarnish after some 50 years in storage from the estate of an avid collector/dealer. Actually may have been purchased from Takashimaya in Tokyo and shipped here in the late fifties or early 1960’s by a family friend working at the time for the USIA and stationed in Tokyo. This piece is timeless in charm and appeal. These are getting hard to find in this condition.
