NAPIER STERLING/GOLD COAT BROOCH PIN /Eyeglass holder


NAPIER is one of the first modern corporations in the USA. known for their excellent and cutting edge silver jewelry manufacture.  


It was founded in 1870’s under the “BLISS” name and became “NAPIER” exclusively in 1922. During that period the block NAPIER hallmark was used.  


Pieces were owned by MAMIE EISENHOWER, and examples are seen in the Smithsonian, Brooklyn, Dallas museums. Also gifted to Miss America contestants.


This fine condition - heavy 16.9 gram sterling with gold overlay coat, jacket, lapel pin is marked sterling on the reverse and on the fastening pin mechanism. 


Everything works as it should. Stand alone it is stunning at 2” vertical and appx one inch wide. It has somewhat of a deco/Scandinavian look. 


Since something old is NEW again, it is a perfect eyeglass holder. Sturdy and can accommodate many eyeglass frame shapes and sizes. Plastic or metal, non RX SUNGLASSES or RX.  What a great way to hold Versace, Gucci, Channel .  


You won’t find better.  Its sturdy pins and spring clasp grab firmly. This piece, based on block style hallmark may be as early as the 1930’s. It was from the estate of an avid collector/dealer.  


NAPIER  is still a good source for quality costume jewelry.


This piece will arrive in a jewelry store padded box ready for gifting.  


Sure looks better holding dem peepers than a tacky beaded or silver chain around the neck.  


The special person will enjoy this one of a kind beautiful and possibly repurposed vintage collectible item.


Please Note:  NAPIER PIN EXHIBITS MILD SURFACE WEAR WHICH DOES NOT DETRACT. It may be areas where old varnish is wearing off. The seller did not want to buff, but a reputable jeweler could at nominal cost.
