The seller has been collecting DynaTACs for a decade and only once has encountered an extra time thick Motorola battery. Not to mention one that still holds a mild charge. And one in great cosmetic condition. 

Cell Phones changed our culture/world. Martin Cooper and Motorola began developing them in the late 1960’s. He made the first call from a mobile cell phone in 1973. The phone was a foot long and weighed 3 lbs. It became known as the “BRICK”.  The FCC LICENSED it in SEPT. 1983. The first carrier was CELLULAR ONE in the D.C. area. It was called 

DYNATAC. Dynamic Adaptive  Area  Coverage.  Cost of phone $4000 and in today's dollars $12000.  Cost per minute 42 cents, today $1.23.
