"Mr. Adam’s This is to advise you that my landlord William Balmbrough got of me after receiving my last half years rent at Martin Road one pound of tea which he did not pay for, but took it as part of the next ensuing half years rent. The price of which tea is eight shillings and have sent you twenty two shillings more which makes thirty shillings, the full of my half years rent due at which ? ? from Jane Bowmaker. "
