This impressive decoy features a goose (or duck) with a hollow body painted with a gray with black speckled finish. The head is solid wood with a stained finish and black painted eyes. The bottom has felt and is simply signed "4005". Came from a North Carolina estate.

The head is not attached, we decided to leave it this way as it will save on shipping dimensional costs. It will require glueing because the head is heavy and can easily fall off if bumped or moved.

The goose measures an impressive 26.5" long beak to tail, 14" tall, 8" wide.

The physical condition is as shown in the photographs. I did peel back some of the bottom felt to search for a signature. The dowel in the neck is loose - as previously mentioned, it will need to be glued down.
