German sculptor and painter Erwin Eisch was the pioneer and spiritual father of the Studio Glass Movement in Europe. An immensely influential figure for the development of American Studio Glass, Eisch often rejects or obscures the qualities of glass that attract so many artists to the medium: its transparency and translucency.

And this is an amazing example of his work with glass. Turquoise, black and gold in a unique gorgeous piece of art.
