300 Lemon Mint Flower Seeds Herb Perennial Native Wildflower Garden Container

Lemon Mint Monarda citriodora .AKA Lemon Bee Balm, Lemon Bergamot, Purple Horsemint, Bee Balm, Prairie Bergamot just to name a few. A favorite of humming birds and butterflies. The leaves smell like lemons when crushed. Native to prairies of North America and Mexico, this plant has been used in medications and as a flavoring for hundreds of years. Some people use lemon Beebalm as an addition to salads and teas. It's also used in wines and liqueurs. It will give a nice flavor to seafood and meat dishes, such as crab and chicken. Lemon beebalm is an ingredient in many dessert recipes, and is used for flavoring in cakes, cheesecakes, sauces, and pies. Teas made from the leaves can treat colds, coughs, fevers, and respiratory problems. Lemon beebalm can tolerate dry soil, and requires very little water. Full sun, but doesn't mind a little shade through the day. Several stems grow from the base and are lined with pairs of long slender leaves. It grows quickly during spring, reaching up to 3 feet, and blooms heavy with purple, pink colored flowers from May through July, continuing to bloom even later in the year if given steady water. The plant dies with the first frost, and although lemon bee balm is an annual, it will easily reseed itself. Overall a great plant that is pretty much carefree. The seed is grown in the USA and is organic.
