• Quantity: 3
• Antique Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) c. late 1850-70's
• Measurements: 3 1/8" diameter
• Weight, prepackaged: 4.4 oz as a set
• Condition: Two of the three have flat chips on the top of the rim. The third has a single fleabite on the rim. The pressing is excellent on all three with just a few strawmarks. The glass is clear and free of cloudiness with a light glow under UV light.
The pattern is King's Maple which was introduced circa 1870. The pieces are found in Lee & Rose's cup plate book and dated to the 2nd Transitional period circa 1850. The pattern is identical to Lee's Victorian Glass book and dated to the 1870's. I would venture to guess they were originally sold as butter pats or honey dishes.
