Description

Up for offer is this amazing telescoping pencil from the 1800's.  It is heavy and beautifully made - all hand engraved and marked 15ct - hallmarked W (maybe George Waterhouse?)  There is a carved bloodstone shield on the end and the pencil slides in and out as it should by using the ring.  It measures 3 7/8 inches long when closed and 5 inches long when open.  There is nothing that twists or turns so I have no idea about changing the lead but it does  have lead in it.  There are 2 tiny holes on one side looks like the engraving was so deep a tiny piece broke free?  Not sure but see close ups and one small indent on one side.  See all photos.  Engraved on the side is J.M. Young.  Stone is in great condition.  Weight as shown is 19.2 grams.  You are buying it realizing it is from the 1800's and not perfect.  See all photos.

Payment

If you buy multiple items and pay before I can send you a combined invoice with the adjusted shipping price I will not be able to issue you a shipping refund - charges me fees on the shipping you pay me.   If you want combined shipping to save money do not pay until you get a combined invoice.    Payment must be received within 4 days of auction end unless other arrangements are made. Please be aware that insurance or delivery confirmation is included in the shipping & Handling.

Shipping

Delivery times for International packages varies greatly. I insure through a 3rd party company to offer you insurance on first class mail shipping which saves you money. Insurance claims cannot be filed until it has been 45 business days fromt he ship date. There is a reason for this - customs and travel times are not predictable in any way. In the event that a claim needs to be filed the appropriate paperwork will be sent to you via email for your part in the process. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. The information for the customs forms is automatically filled in from the auction information and will not be altered.
