Each glossy dish has three compartments and measures approximately 2 1/4" tall x 7 3/4" in diameter.  One dish is black with gold trim and the other is cobalt blue with gold trim - both have hand painted florals in blue, green, yellow, pink and red.  I can't quite make out the backstamp aside from 'handpainted' and 'Japan'.    

CONDITION:  Pre-owned.  No chips or cracks, but flaws include paint and gold finish loss around the outer edges of the dishes, as well as some inner color loss on the florals.  Pair offered "as is".
