Vintage Mexi-Pep Louisiana Hot Sauce Creole Recipe Booklet 1950s Advertisement Old South History Collectible.

- The booklet contains Southern recipes and Colonel Maunsell White Slave Plantation Story, relating how the hot sauce was used as a Cholera Preventative, remarking on his slave’s health, and that he donated the sauce to the Confederate Army. The story illustrations include the caricature that was intended to limit the opportunities of recently freed blacks, a mammy. 

- Booklet is undated. I am dating it mid-20th century based on the advertisement graphics.
