This vintage, circa 1970s, Peruvian art, wood business card box and paperweight block were a gift/souvenir from a trip to Lima, Peru in the 1970s. The hand painted folk art scenes on the wooden box and the paperweight block are protected by a heavy, hard plastic and trimmed with a brass colored gold paint trim. The scenes feature natives from Peru in their custom costumes, dancing, trekking with their llamas, working on their crafts, going to church, etc. The wooden box is hinged and when open, one can see the quality of the wood used in making this trinket box. There is some price sticker residue on the block which I did not want to remove lest I damage the protective coating. Makes a perfect collectible for collectors of Peruvian Art, business card holder collections, folk art collections, unique desk set collections, paperweight collectors or just because you like the folk art on these 2 items. New, and never used, perfect for gift-giving. Great condition with no cracks, chips or stains. Stored on a shelf in a cool dark place. Comes from a smoke-free/pet-free home.
Box measures 4-1/2" wide X 1-7/8" tall X 3-1/2" deep.
Paperweight block is a perfect square, 2-1/2" on each side.
