These figurines are from an artist named Martha Holcombe or better known as "Miss Martha". The African American figurines came to life beginning in 1985 when Miss Martha sculpted her first black figurines and christened them with the name "All God's Children".
Handcrafted with a blend of crushed pecan shells and resin and is proudly made in the USA.
"Kat" is one of the few animals figures handcrafted by Miss Martha Holcome and signed in her maiden name "Martha Root."
