This beautiful hand painted bowl has white flowers with green foliage on the inside. The edges have embossed scroll type designs around the inside edge. It has open handles, and there are also small openings around the edges. It measures approximately 8 1/2 inches from handle to handle, and stands approximately 2 inches tall at the handles. It is signed Varda Gardner on the back, and dated 2/57. The base colors are a cream and off white color. There is minor wear to the edges, and the bottom rim where it would have been set on a shelf.

This bowl reminds me of the type of stuff coming out of France and England around the mid 20th century. It would look great sitting on a table holding small wrapped candies or fruit.
