Costa attended college at the Academy of Art college, a private arts school in the San Francisco area. During his last year of college, Costa was hired out of school to work for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, developing Disney are for the company. After a year with Hallmark, Costa moved back to California to work with the Disney Company to pursue his dream of being a Disney artist. Costa was hired as a freelance artist and worked for the Studios as a product developer for the hard-line product for the Disneyland Resort. During his four years in Los Angeles, Costa produced a variety of illustrations and products such as figurines, globes, collector plates, Disney Home Video art among other products. After leaving Burbank, Costa continued his freelance work for Disney along with the past clients, while pursuing a career in the video game industry as a Senior Artist Illustrator with Atari Inc, which allowed him to managed the creative development for other video game illustrations. Following his career with Atari, Costa moved to Colorado where he went on to work with Current Inc, as a Senior Artist, producing assorted greeting cards and seasonal products. While in Colorado, Costa continued freelancing for the Walt Disney Company. Falling in love, a wedding and two daughters later, Costa was given an opportunity to become a Senior Character Artist for the Disney Theme Parks Merchandise department at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. Costa's work can be found at select art and collectible locations at domestic Disney Theme Parks and Resorts. Who says dreams never come true!
