In 1965/1966 I made a WESTPAC cruise on the USS Midway and because of space limitations I purchased an Akai X-V portable reel to reel tape recorder that only played 5 inch reels so when I bought an original pre-recorded tape, I had to put it on a 5 inch reel. I then would cut the title and track information from the box and tape it to the 5 inch box. The tape still plays great.
