this is antique or vintage intaglio reverse painted (or similar) glass pin/brooch element. it probably was part of something, can be used to make jewelry - ring, brooch, necklace. 

in VERY good condition as for the age! no chips or heavy wear or chips! the mounting made of brass or similar alloy, looks like green enamel around(or similar). Also mother of pearl layer (or similar substance) in a really thick layer around the glass!  please see photos!!
