I've been lucky enough to raise Collies under the "Locharanza" kennel name for many years, and the kennel name goes back to the 1940s. A lot of people don't know that.

Naturally, we make many collectible, Hand-Made Collie and Sheltie figurines in our studios (Both in the States and in Brazil now). "Dancing Collie" is one of these figurines, personally signed and dated from our Signature Collection ... an elegant, classy Collie in all natural colors of the breed  ... just ask.

"Dancing Collie" measures 6 inches in length x 5 inches high. It's made of the stone paste that our figurines have been made of for more than 50 years. It's a solid casting, weighing the same as the clay from which my original sculptures are made (not hollow like fragile porcelain or cheap ceramic). And, it's glazed to protect the hand-painting and careful shading which is achieved with paints, pastels and watercolors. (It takes about 2 years to train our studio painters).

Many of the Hevener Figrines and collectibles are inspired by my novels and this one was inspired by "The Blue Ribbon" and dogs I have bred, raised or shown and loved. Each "Dancing Collie" figurine is signed and dated and this photo is a sample.

I want to thank Terry and this Group for allowing me to be one of your administrators.

Today's world is crazy and sometimes frightening. But so are dog shows. So is life. So ..... all we can say is: "On With The Show!"
