This is a vintage printed postcard made to look like a colorized photo, printed around 1911. The postcard printed in Spain features the female cigar workers at the “La Favorita” tobacco factory in Las Palmas, Grand Canary, Canary Islands. This factory was owned by EUFEMIANO FUENTES CABRERA (E. Fuentes) and had approximately 100 workers, mostly women. The postcard is franked with a Spanish stamp and postmark “PUERTO DE LA[S PALMAS] CANARIAS”. It was mailed to Germany. This important postcard is also a great addition to any tobbacciana or postal history collection..
