French Renault FT light tank with Hotchkiss armed octagonal turret
The French Renault FT light tank was a revolutionary design when introduced having a two-men crew and a revolving turret. More than 3000 were made and besides France it was usually the first tank acquired by many nations.This variant has the octagonal turret armed with one Hotchkiss machine gun. The octagonal turret was developed as a much cheaper alternative to the cylindrical turret. This type of tank was used during World War One, the Russian Civil War, the Turkish War of Independence, the Polish-Soviet War, the Chinese Civil War, the Rif War, the Great Syrian Revolt, the Brazilian Revolution of 1930, the Spanish Civil War, the Winter War, World War Two and the Franco-Thai War. Most French FTs were modernized during the 30s but a few in the colonies still retained their original armament.
This model is 3D printed and meant to be an economical alternative to wargamers wanting to expand their armies, it can also be used to build dioramas.
This model is made in four parts, turret, hull and tracks. The model will be sent with support material still attached for better safety during transport, cutting and cleaning by the buyer will be needed before assembly. The model is printed using PLA and gluing is needed, if adding accessories to it superglue type glue will be required or other epoxy glue.
The pictures are from one sample model and some painted shots, the models are similar in grade of detail after print cleaning. The model is dispatched in a postal cardboard box with protective material inside for better safety.
